Are you living with:
-Mood Swings
-Aches and Pains
-Constipation
These are all signs that your body is dehydrated. You see, 60-75% of your total body weight is made up of water. Our lungs are 90% water. Our brain is 76% water. Even our bones are 25% water. Water is very important to deliver nutrients to tissues, carry toxins away, and also to lubricate our joints and spine.
We loose up to 10-16 cups of water per day through sweat, urine and feces. Caffeinated drinks, such as coffee and soda, along with certain medications can also cause us to loose more water. So you can see why we need to constantly replenish our supply. It's recommended that you drink half your pound weight in ounces of water every day.
Now, I am sure you are saying, "That's impossible! Way too much water." You are correct, it is a lot. You may also be thinking, "If I drink that much water, I will be in the bathroom all day." And you are correct...in the beginning, that may be true. But over time your body will adapt. You will even start noticing that you are sleeping better, your pain level is down, and you have more energy.
For those of you who don't like plain water, I have some suggestions for you. You can add fruit, such as raspberries or blueberries. Cucumbers can add a refreshing taste. Lemon and lime are some other favorites.
Lemon has many great benefits, such as:
-easing constipation
-easing urinary tract infections
-boosting your immune system
-cleansing your liver
-improving your skin
If you want a natural sports drink, try coconut water. It's a rich, natural source of potassium and electrolytes.
I challenge you to take the water challenge. For 1 week, drink half your weight in ounces. On day 7, notice how you feel.
Here's to living your energized and enthusiastic Vibrant Life!
...Until next month, when I give you my #2 Key Ingredient. Stay tuned...
